I thought I would take some time today to tell you about my skincare routine. I won’t lie, I used to be RUBBISH when it came to skincare. It has been quite a process, but I have slowly learnt that it is essential to use quality products on your skin, and when you do, you definitely reap the benefits. Skincare is just as personal as makeup… It all boils down to individual skin type, texture and scent.
I thought I’d share with you what I do every morning before I apply my makeup.
Cleanse: It is imperative to cleanse your skin in the morning; anyone who tells you otherwise is lying. Think about the build up of dirt and grime from last night's products for a start…
I use GoldFaden MD Pure Start Cleanser in the morning. I love the gel formula, it leaves my skin feeling smooth and clean and smells fresh, like grapefruit. Whether you're dry, oily or combination, this cleanser is good for all skin types.
Key attributes: Dissolves impurities, lightly resurfaces and retains moisture, plus it’s PH balanced and removes all makeup. Can’t go wrong.
Serum: Using a serum is the best way to ‘target’ a specific concern. If you're concerned about pigmentation - find a serum that will help tackle pigmentation. The lightweight formula of a serum penetrates the skin much deeper then a moisturiser can.
I’m currently using Grown Alchemist Detox Serum +3. Oil free, super fast absorbing, it doesn’t feel like I have anything on my skin, which I love. I can’t stand my skin feeling tacky after I apply a product. So this is perfect for me.
Keys attributes: Detoxifies the skin of not only oxygen free radicals but also carbon and nitrogen free radicals. Leaves the skin looking radiant and healthy. Any product you put on top of this serum will work more effectively.

Moisturise: Finding the perfect moisturiser is a hard task. For me, it's all about the texture and the scent, I can't bare rich creams that seem to linger around on my face for hours, and if the smell isn't to my liking, there's no hope.
I’m using the EveLom Brightening Cream and have been for about nine months. I have to say I like everything about this cream. Again the formula is light weight, good for most skin types, it smells like roses, and gives a beautiful radiance to the skin.
Key attributes: Increases Collogen and elasticity, reduces redness and fine lines, all while being extremely hydrating.
Eye Cream: I hear a lot of women say that they suffer with puffiness under their eyes and in the same breath tell me that they use their face moisturiser underneath their eyes. This is just about the worst thing you could do… The skin under your eyes is the most delicate area of your face; imagine a rose petal - that is how thin the skin around your eye area is. Clogging it up with thick moisturisers definitely is not the way to go and will only worsen the issue of puffiness.
I use GoldFaden MD Bright Eyes. It is silicone free and fast absorbing, making this eye cream the perfect base for makeup. No rolling product here!!
Key Attributes: Targets three of the most common concerns: puffiness, dark circles and fine lines.
In the grand scheme of things, using four products in the morning isn’t so bad when you consider having to live with your skin the rest of your life… It’s worth looking after.
What do you use in the morning? Any other amazing skincare suggestions I should try?
LOTS OF LOVE,
